1. Travel in large groups and share the cost of gas and rent a bus.

2. Travel in tourist off seasons like to Jamaica in the summer .
Price of rooms are half the winter value.

3. Take vacations where friends or family live and stay with them for a while.

4. When travelling abroad check the countries listing for smaller hotels which are just as good but not usually well advertised.
